Nobu Launches Luxurious Country Retreat in England
Nobu is venturing into the English countryside with its first country retreat in the UK. The new project includes a hotel, spa, restaurant, and branded residences on 185 acres in Rutland, the smallest historic county in England.
The complex, named Nobu Woolfox, promises a unique blend of luxury and nature: instead of urban skyscrapers, guests will find lakes, wellness spaces, and scenic walks.
Nobu is collaborating with the elite Woolfox Members Club, which focuses on wellness. Founded in 2020 near Stamford, Woolfox is known for its exclusivity, making this partnership a logical fit.
While the opening dates for Nobu Woolfox have not yet been announced, this project will be the first of its kind in the Nobu Hospitality portfolio, which typically features luxury hotels and restaurants in cities like London, Rome, and New York.
The brand hopes that the new space will allow guests to slow down and enjoy a more relaxed pace of life, while Nobu expands into the country retreat market.
Nobu Hospitality CEO Trevor Horwell stated that this is a truly special place in the heart of England, surrounded by picturesque landscapes. The Nobu Woolfox will create a unique country retreat while maintaining all the brand's distinctive features.

What Will the New Nobu Project Offer?
The complex will feature luxurious rooms and suites with lake views, a Nobu restaurant and bar, as well as thoughtfully designed dining spaces. Branded residences will also be available for those looking to live a luxurious lifestyle in the English countryside.
The infrastructure will include wellness spaces, a luxury spa, a swimming pool, and a gym, while the existing Woolfox area will be enhanced to maximize its natural potential.
Rutland is renowned for its unspoiled landscapes and active outdoor recreation, including sailing and cycling. Stamford and the historic Burghley House make this area a year-round travel destination.
Traveling to Nobu will be convenient, with train access from London, Cambridge, Birmingham, and Manchester in under two hours, making it a 'second home' for club members and temporary guests alike.
Nobu Hospitality, founded by chef Nobu Matsuhisa and Hollywood star Robert De Niro, plans to open a restaurant and hotel in central Manchester in the coming years.
