Jordan Bardella Begins Visit to Poland to Strengthen Ties

Jordan Bardella, the leader of the French far-right, has begun a two-day visit to Poland. The purpose of the trip is to meet with right-wing and nationalist political leaders ahead of the presidential elections in France next year.

The visit started in Warsaw and includes a trip to the Polish-Belarusian border. This is Bardella's attempt to strengthen alliances with like-minded individuals across Europe following visits to Portugal, Italy, and Belgium.

In Warsaw, Bardella held a closed meeting with President Karol Nawrocki and Krzysztof Bosak, one of the leaders of the right-wing “Confederation”.

Bardella stated, “European nations must take their fate into their own hands, and France should play its role and offer new leadership on the European stage.” He also noted that “Poland is a key country for building a new European architecture.”

Before his visit to the eastern NATO border, he promised to deepen cooperation on military issues, especially in light of the American withdrawal from Europe.

European Elections in 2027

Bardella's political visit comes at a time when Poland is preparing for its own parliamentary elections next autumn. He will also visit the Warsaw office of Frontex and the electronic barrier on the border with Belarus.

Bardella emphasized that this is a gesture of solidarity with an important European power that France intends to cooperate with in the future.
