Zinedine Zidane Appointed as New Coach of the French National Team
Zidane has replaced Didier Deschamps, who led the team since 2012 and became its most successful coach.
Philippe Diallo, president of the FFF, announced the appointment at a press conference, thanking Deschamps for his contributions to the team's success.
“Zinedine is a legend of French football, and he has always dreamed of leading the national team,” Diallo added.

In his first address, Zidane mentioned that he turned down several club offers to focus on the national team. “I feel I have the right to work with the team where I spent so many years,” he said.
Deschamps departs after a disappointing World Cup exit, leaving behind a rich legacy: World Cup 2018, a final in 2022, and a semifinal in 2026.
The new coach will start on August 1 and promised to bring stability to the team. “Soon you will see my style,” he stated.
