Spider-Man Earns $927 Million on Opening Weekend, Falls Short of Avengers

Spider-Man: A Brand New Day earned $927 million during its opening weekend. In the US and Canada, it grossed $355 million, while international markets contributed $572 million.
This marks the second-best opening in cinematic history. The top spot still belongs to Avengers: Endgame, which debuted with $1.2 billion and $357 million in the US and Canada.

However, Spider-Man outperformed the Avengers in preview earnings ($72 million vs. $60 million) and on its first day of release ($168 million vs. $156 million) in the US.
Additionally, the new Spider-Man became the most successful debut in Sony Pictures history, exceeding the studio's expectations of a $195 million opening in North America and $465 million worldwide.
The budget for A Brand New Day is estimated at $225 million, with around $309 million spent on marketing. The new Spider-Man is close to breaking even.
In Russia, Spider-Man: A Brand New Day is not officially released, but it may be shown through pre-screening services.
