Samara Weaving has joined the cast of the upcoming X-Men film, where she will portray Emma Frost, a mutant with telepathic abilities.
According to Deadline, the search for a new Emma Frost took considerable time. Director Jake Schreier and Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige reportedly held numerous meetings and auditions, but Weaving's audition was deemed the most convincing.

In the comics, Emma Frost not only possesses telepathy but can also transform her body into diamond. Initially, she was an adversary of the X-Men but later joined the team.
Emma Frost has appeared on screen only once before, portrayed by January Jones in "X-Men: First Class."
The release date for the new X-Men film has not been announced. The last installment of this franchise was released in 2019, not counting the "Deadpool" films and "The New Mutants."
