Apple Captures 49% of Global Smartphone Revenue in Q2 2026

In the second quarter of 2026, Apple achieved a record 49% of global smartphone revenue. According to Counterpoint Research, the company's revenue in this segment grew by 22% year-over-year.

The overall smartphone market revenue increased by 7%, indicating that Apple's share grew at the expense of other manufacturers. Apple also set a new record for shipment volume in Q2, with its share rising from 17% to 21%, while Samsung maintained the top position with 23%.

Other major companies reduced their market presence. Xiaomi experienced the largest decline, with its shipment share dropping from 14% to 11%, and the number of smartphones sold fell by 26% compared to the same period last year.

Counterpoint Research attributes these changes to memory shortages and rising component costs. Many Android device manufacturers were forced to significantly raise prices, while Apple kept the prices of most iPhone models stable.

However, it is expected that the company may reconsider its smartphone pricing in the coming quarters. Recently, Apple raised prices on some devices, but iPhones were not included in this list.
