Google has disabled the AI image generation feature in Google Earth just one day after its launch.
The company announced a temporary shutdown to implement improved security measures. The AI-generated images were not published in the main version of Google Earth and did not replace actual satellite data.

Users of Google Earth managed to create a variety of unique images, including an atomic power plant in Iran and a plane crashing into skyscrapers in the USA.
Google representatives did not specify how long it would take to implement the improved security measures or when the image generation feature would return to Google Earth.
