Terror Attack in Moscow Restaurant: Casualties and Possible Targets
A blast at a Moscow restaurant on Saturday killed three people and injured 21. This was a terrorist attack, reported the National Anti-Terrorism Committee of Russia.
A homemade explosive device detonated at Kudrinskaya Square. Among the dead were a woman who brought the device, a security officer, and a patron.
The Telegram channel Baza initially reported a gas explosion in the restaurant's kitchen.
The restaurant was rented for a private birthday celebration, attended by the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces, Alexander Chayko.

Series of Terror Attacks in Recent Years
Russia has already been the target of several terrorist attacks. Since the start of the war in Ukraine in 2022, Ukrainian intelligence services have been accused of several attacks on Russian military personnel and public figures.
Russia blamed Ukraine for the death of General Yaroslav Moskalyk in April 2025. In August 2022, Darya Dugina, daughter of radical ideologist Alexander Dugin, died in a car bomb explosion.
In April 2023, military blogger Vladlen Tatarsky was killed when a statuette he was handed exploded in a café in St. Petersburg. In December 2024, a bomb killed General Igor Kirillov in Moscow.
In May 2023, writer and nationalist Zakhar Prilepin was seriously injured in a car explosion near Nizhny Novgorod.
