The promotional campaign for the film "Spider-Man: A Brand New Day" has become the largest in Hollywood history, according to Deadline. Approximately $309 million has been invested in promoting the film.

The previous record for advertising costs was held by "Spider-Man: Far From Home" at $288 million. This record lasted for about seven years.

According to the publication, 165 brands are involved in promoting "Spider-Man: A Brand New Day." Sony representatives explain this reach by the franchise's very broad audience.

Notably, the production of the new "Spider-Man" was significantly cheaper. The unofficial estimate puts the budget for "A Brand New Day" at around $225 million.

It is expected that "Spider-Man: A Brand New Day" will recoup its production budget by the end of the first weekend of release. Compensating for the advertising budget will take much longer.
