Gothic Now Features First-Person View: G1FirstPerson Mod Released
The first part of Gothic can now be played with a first-person camera. Modder Grumlok has created the G1FirstPerson mod, allowing players to experience the game from this perspective during combat and exploration.
With the new camera, players can shoot arrows and use melee weapons, with hands and other body parts of the character appearing on screen as intended.

Animations for picking up items, resting, and interacting with the environment remain unchanged. Players can switch between first and third-person views at any time. The mod only supports the original Gothic.
The mod's source code is open, allowing for personal modifications if desired.
