Aaron Garbut, the director of Grand Theft Auto 6, compared the game's development to building a pyramid on Everest. In an interview with EDGE magazine, Garbut claims that the developers have avoided shortcuts despite the massive workload.

Developers, Garbut notes, have spent a lot of time filling the world of Grand Theft Auto 6 with a vast amount of content and creating diverse side mechanics. Theoretically, these could have been omitted, but their presence makes the world more realistic and the game more immersive.
Players will not only race through the city and complete missions. In GTA 6, you can romance a partner character, hunt crocodiles, run from police dogs, participate in races, or simply drink water from the fridge.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to release on November 19.
