Alien Isolation 2: New Hunting Tactics for the Xenomorph

Players should avoid open spaces.

Creative Assembly has revealed new details about the horror game Alien: Isolation 2, discussing the features of the new xenomorph. The developers have significantly revamped the AI controlling the Alien and taught it new tricks.

The events of Alien: Isolation 2 take place on the planet LV-921, where the main character's ship has crash-landed. Players will need to explore vast areas and deal with harsh weather: powerful storms frequently occur on LV-921.

The developers promise that weather conditions will affect the xenomorph's behavior: the sound of rain and wind will help the monster conceal its movements, making it difficult to spot the Alien in flowing water. At the same time, in open areas, the Alien will become more aggressive in pursuing players due to the lack of cover.

The Alien will continue to hunt you even when you go outside: it will exploit your vulnerability in open spaces and act more aggressively. Compared to the original game, it will have new behavior models.

The locations, the studio promises, will be about ten times larger than the levels in the first Alien: Isolation. In short, escaping from the xenomorph will take a long time.

Alien: Isolation 2 still has no release date or window. The game is likely to be released in 2027.
