Kallas Accuses Lavrov of Lying at G20 Talks
The EU's foreign policy chief, Kaja Kallas, accused Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov of telling "many lies" about the war in Ukraine during G20 talks in Atlanta.
"We discussed the major geopolitical crisis, including Ukraine, and were able to address Lavrov directly," Kallas told AFP.
She added that Lavrov promoted numerous "false narratives" that were challenged by European representatives.
European officials also seized the opportunity to apply additional pressure on Moscow to achieve a ceasefire in the Black Sea, which drew a response from Lavrov, according to AFP.
