Lausanne Grand Prix 2026: Inclusive Judo Takes Center Stage
The IJF World Tour judo tournament has kicked off in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Before the competitions, judo legends left their autographs at the IOC headquarters.
IJF President Marius Vizer held a masterclass for future Olympians.
At the «Vaudouaz Arena», a unique tournament took place: for the first time, adaptive judo athletes shared the tatami with the world's top judokas.
In the under 48 kg category, Marina Vorobyova won, finishing the final with an arm lock. Medals were presented by Sergey Soloveychik, President of the Judo Federation of Russia.

In the under 60 kg category, Japan's Yamato Fukuda claimed gold at the Grand Slam tournament with an impressive counter technique.
“This is a big arena, and hearing the kids cheering for me made me truly happy!” - said the winner.
Medals were awarded by IOC member Aisha Garada Ali.
In the under 52 kg category, Gefen Primo was more active than her opponent in the final, securing her fourth Grand Slam gold.
The award ceremony was conducted by IOC Honorary President Thomas Bach.
In the under 66 kg final, two Japanese judokas, Kairi Kentoku and Shinsei Hattori, faced off, with Kentoku winning his first Grand Slam gold with a magnificent throw.
Medals were presented by IOC member Petra Sörling.
In the under 57 kg final, world champion Eteri Liparteliani from Georgia faced France's Sara Léoni Sizik, winning gold with a successful hip throw.
The gold medal was awarded by multiple Olympic medalist Klaus Glan.
Tomorrow, more medals will be contested on the tatami in Lausanne!
