Japan Unveils Unique Pokéball-Shaped Hotel for Pokémon's 30th Anniversary
Many internet users consider 2016 a turning point when everything went wrong, yet also a time when the world felt truly united.
While we won't discuss the former, the latter is often linked to one event: the release of Pokémon Go. It was a summer of carefree fun, running with strangers, and total immersion in nostalgia.
Although it seems that such moments of collective euphoria are behind us, there are still wonders left in the world — including Pokémon.
NOT A HOTEL has teamed up with the sleep-tracking game Pokémon Sleep to create a Pokéball-shaped hotel.

Located in Tomakomai on Hokkaido, the capsule hotel has a diameter of three meters: inside, a round bed sits beneath a curved acrylic window, offering a view of the lake while you relax in the “Pokéball.”
Throughout the space, there are numerous references to the beloved anime, including Snorlax-themed tiles in the bathroom area near the hotel.
Guests can choose their favorite Pokémon on an iPad in the room, and the lighting inside will automatically adjust based on their selection.
Can you stay there?
Unfortunately, there’s bad news.
This concept hotel was created for Pokémon's 30th anniversary and the third anniversary of Pokémon Sleep, but only residents of Japan using the latest app can enter the lottery for a stay.
