Eurostar to Launch Double-Decker Trains with Cocktail Bars by 2031
Eurostar has announced the launch of double-decker trains featuring cocktail bars by 2031. These bars will be open to all passengers and are set to become a ‘star attraction’ of the Celestia trains.
The name Celestia means ‘heavenly’ and reflects the concept of creating a unique travel experience. Eurostar has ordered 30 of these trains, with the first expected to start service in May 2031.

Six trains will operate on all current Eurostar routes, including Geneva and Frankfurt. The new trains will also feature air conditioning systems capable of functioning at temperatures up to 55 °C.
A Eurostar representative stated, “These trains will hit the tracks in 2031 and will operate at least until the 2060s, so it’s important to be prepared for the future.”
